✨ Church Ministries

The ministries of Oakey Grove Baptist Church exist to glorify God, support the body of Christ, and advance the Gospel through acts of service, discipleship, worship, and care. Each ministry represents an opportunity to use God-given gifts for Kingdom work, to build authentic community, and to strengthen the church for the mission of Christ.

Ministry is not simply activity — it is service unto the Lord. Through teaching, serving, encouraging, praying, worshiping, giving, and caring for one another, the church fulfills its calling to embody Christ in the world. Every ministry plays a part in helping the church Reach, Teach, Mend, and Send, as disciples grow in faith and serve others with love.

Scripture teaches that the body of Christ is made up of many members, each with unique gifts and functions.

“There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them… Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.”
— 1 Corinthians 12:4, 27

The work of ministry reflects Christ’s example of humble service:

“For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.”
— Mark 10:45

Through ministry, we care for one another, strengthen families, encourage spiritual growth, reach the lost, and participate in God’s plan for the church and the world.

“Serve one another humbly in love.”
— Galatians 5:13

Whether through worship, teaching, outreach, discipleship, or support, Oakey Grove’s ministries help believers mature in faith and help newcomers experience the love of Christ in practical and meaningful ways.
