✨ Ushers Ministry

The Usher Ministry plays a vital role in the worship experience at Oakey Grove Baptist Church. Ushers serve as ambassadors of hospitality, offering guidance, support, and order from the moment congregants enter the sanctuary. Their ministry reflects both biblical servanthood and practical care as they greet worshippers, assist with seating, distribute materials, answer questions, and maintain reverence during service.

Rooted in the biblical example of gatekeepers and doorkeepers (1 Chronicles 9:17–27), ushers help create a welcoming environment where worship can take place without distraction. They serve with dignity, respect, humility, and joy — ensuring that every guest and member feels honored and valued.

At Oakey Grove, our ushers are more than volunteers; they are stewards of worship, partners in ministry, and extensions of the pastoral care that God calls His church to embody.
